A shower that drips after it is switched off usually has a worn mixer cartridge or valve seat that no longer seals. It is normally a repair rather than a replacement, and the longer it drips the more the seat wears and the more water you pay for.
Common causes are a showerhead blocked with scale, a partly closed or failing valve, a worn cartridge, or restricted pipework. We work out which it is before recommending anything, and if the pressure is low across the whole house, we will check the supply and hot water system too.
Most shower mixers can be repaired by replacing the cartridge or seals, which costs far less than a new mixer. Where the body is corroded or parts are no longer made, replacement makes more sense. We will tell you which applies before we start.
Warning signs include damp or discoloured wall linings, lifting paint or tiles, a musty smell, soft flooring outside the shower, or water stains on the ceiling below. If you notice any of these, stop using the shower and call us so the leak can be traced before the damage spreads.

Yes. We diagnose and repair shower pumps, or replace them if they are beyond economic repair. Pumps are only worth fitting where there is a real pressure problem, so we check the supply first.
