Who we are

Inline Plumbing Ltd ("Inline", "we", "us") is a plumbing, drainage and gasfitting business based in Christchurch, New Zealand. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its information privacy principles.

What we collect

When you fill in the booking form on this site we ask for your name, phone number, email address, the service you need and an optional message. When you phone us we record the details you give us so we can do the job. We do not ask for payment card details on this website.

Like most websites, this one also records basic visit information such as the pages viewed, the type of device and browser, and roughly where in the world the visit came from. If you arrived from a Google ad we also see which ad it was.

Why we collect it

• To reply to your enquiry, book and carry out the job, and send quotes and invoices.
• To keep records of work carried out, as plumbing and gasfitting regulations and our guarantees require.
• To understand how the website is used and to measure whether our advertising works.
• To send you news or offers, only if you have asked to hear from us. Every message includes an unsubscribe link.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the website and handle enquiries. They process information for us and may store it outside New Zealand:

• Google hosts this website (Google Cloud, Singapore) and provides Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement.
• MailerLite holds our enquiry and mailing list.
• SMTP2GO delivers the email alert that tells our office about your enquiry.

We do not sell your information. We only share it more widely if the law requires it, or with your agreement.

Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics and Google Ads use cookies and similar technologies to count visits and measure advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work. You can also opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on.

Keeping it safe, and for how long

Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to enquiry information is limited to our team and the providers above. We keep job records for as long as we need them to support the work and our guarantees, and for as long as the law requires. You can ask us to remove you from our mailing list at any time.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email info@inline.co.nz or call 03 377 5806 and we will respond within 20 working days.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
